If you wish to go to La Chorrera Park independently though, you can also use public transportation. In this case, you should first go to Transoriente bus company, on the corner of Avenida Caracas and Calle 6. This bus connects Bogota to the town of Choachi. Though you will need to ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to Parque la Chorrera. A secondary dirt road goes through several small rural communities up to the entrance of Park la Chorrera. Along the way, not only can you observe sumptuous Andean landscapes, but also other beautiful natural sites. El Chiflon Waterfall, which is fed by la Chorrera waterfall, and the Cueva de los Monos (Monkeys&#8217; Cave) are two of the possible stops along the trail leading to la Chorrera. At a steady walking pace, it will take you about 2 hours round trip to reach the Chorrera and back to the entrance.
