Early morning departure from Bogota to Guatavita for a guided tour of its famous laguna, located outside the town. You will also have the opportunity to take a short stroll through this neo-colonial style town. Afterwards, you will head to the Zipaquira for a visit to its famous salt cathedral. Finally, you will return to Bogotá by late afternoon.

Visiting season:
All year round. On Sundays, public holidays, and during religious celebrations, the Cathedral of Zipaquira can be very crowded. The Guatavita Lagoon is closed on Mondays (except on public holidays, in which case it closes on Tuesday of the same week).
Physical condition:
The excursions are easy and open to the general public. However, it is important to note that the visit to the Guatavita lagoon is at approximately 3,000 metres above sea level (10.000ft). Access to the crater’s edge requires a certain effort due to the many steps to climb.
